Luke Potter
Artist · Producer · Engineer · Songwriter
Luke Potter, also known as “cld”, is an independent singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist from Allen, Texas. Currently based in Auburn, Alabama, he majors in Music Composition/Technology and is pursuing a Music Business minor at Auburn University.
Discovering a passion for music production in 6th grade, Luke’s inspirations span every genre. Originally wanting to produce electronic/EDM music with a blend of rap production, 2020 led him to discovering the hyperpop, digicore, and surrounding underground scenes. He began releasing his first few songs under “cldsummer”, but would later shorten the moniker to “cld” in 2022.
Alongside the cld project, he releases acoustic-focused music under his real name of Luke Potter. The "Blunt" EP was fully written, produced, and engineered by himself, with fellow Auburn music students assisting with instrumental performances.
Luke’s creative influences include artists such as EDEN, Turnover, T-Pain, and Modern Baseball, as well as 2010s pop/electronic production and songwriting.
